Are biology and chemistry your favorite subjects? If you answered yes to the above questions, chances are the medical field may be something you will want to consider. This field is a growing area that is rewarding and challenging. It offers great job security and allows you to work anywhere in the world.

Maybe you are only interested in making lots of money. These are all legitimate reasons to go into medicine. But make sure that you are willing to commit to a long road of education and training.
Although a medical career can be both rewarding and lucrative, do you have what it takes to make it in that field? This profession demands commitment, hard work and room for plenty of stress. Attending medical school can be very challenging so if you're serious about making people feel better and improving their health and well-being; you have to be prepared for a lot of learning. This is the only way to succeed in medicine.
What happens in medical school? During your first two years, you will study anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, pharmacology and pathology. You will learn how to look at patients and take medical histories. As you move forward, you will visit hospitals where you will observe and work closely with other doctors. You will likely be introduced to many fields of medicine such as internal medicine, family practice, obstetrics, gynecology, surgery and pediatrics.
Finally, you will become a resident doctor for approximately three to seven years in order to get more experience in your area of interest. You will finally become a health professional and will need to dress for the job.
